Elle's Studio Projects

Today I've got one of the pages I made for the Elle's Studio DT gallery for May. Have you been to the new website? There are tons of giveaways this week to celebrate the launch and there's a great new message board, too. This page is a bit of a mish mosh but it's mostly Jenni Bowlin Studio. For the first time in a long time I made a project without a kit:
I'm definitely getting attached to white cardstock these days. I find myself reaching for it for layouts and cards. It's my new kraft! Here's a close up of all the strips of paper I cut for this page. I used them to frame the photos and to make a base to anchor them on, as well. That adorable pennant is from the Elle's Studio Here & Now kit. I stamped and heat embossed with American Crafts Rouge powder:

It's back to work for me today but looking forward to the long weekend. On Friday the pool gets opened. I'll be so relieved to see that blue water again! Got any great weekend plans? In between a baseball game and a party, I've got some assignments to complete and also need to begin work on a scrapbook for a retiring teacher at my children's school. I don't make big albums like that very often but it's always a thrill to see the look on the recipient's face when they see it for the first time.
Have a great day everyone  - will be back with a cute, summery SRM project tomorrow!
